News and More News

The first news is I got a new motorcycle! It's a 2002 which I found on craigslist.com and the price was too good to pass up. It's the exact bike I've been wanting, a 500 ninja. It'll be a nice step up from my 250 rebel. I haven't even gotten to ride it yet but I'm taking off work on Friday so I'm hoping for nice weather!

The second news is that I will probably be going into the hospital next Tuesday for my migraines. It will be a 3-5 day stay while the neurologist tries to find something to finally get rid of this headache. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with all that time in the hospital but I'm definately going to be taking some knitting with me. I'm trying to decide if I should take the Maltese shawl and really finally get some work done on it or if I want to cast on for something new and if so what. Any ideas, suggestions?

Edited to add - One more thing, I just realized I haven't updated you on my weight watchers progress in a while. It has been slow going the past couple of months, with vacation and my dad and all that but I am now down a total of 30.2 pounds since I started weight watchers in January.

hi christina - i read an article in readers digest last year that suggested a link between a heart irregularity and migraines. in the documented cases, the heart issue was resolved with relatively minor surgery - valve something, it think. anyway, it might be worth mentioning it to your doctor.

Here's a link that talks about the link between migraines and PFO that Becky mentioned. Thanks for the info!

well as a fellow migraine suffer and having been an everday suffer not to long ago, I hope they can help you get to be migraine free. Take some sudukos with you, you are still the queen of those. Glad to hear your dad is going well. Enjoy your new toy. Congrats on the weight loss. Miss you here in Sunnyvale.

I hope they can find a solution for you. Based on my own hospital experiences, I would say take something simple and repetitive to work on.

So much going on for you. I'll keep all of you in my thoughts with the various hospital stays. If you haven't already, I'd cast on for something new but something repetitive, maybe something with luxury yarn so you can enjoy easy but scrumptous knitting while you heal.

By the way, thanks for checking in. I'm hoping to post another of my sorry to be missing posts later today.

Any luck finding out about the migraines? Glad to hear your dad is on the road to recovery (no matter how long and difficult -- although I hope it's better than you're all expecting.) So, what did you take to knit?
